Among these treasured encounters, the story of Princess Riz holds a very special place in our hearts. It is a story that began in the earliest days of her childhood and blossomed into a beautiful friendship across continents : a story woven with softness, creativity, and shared moments that transcend distance.
Where the story began
We met Princess Riz right from the cradle, if we may put it so. For her 9 month photo session, she was photographed gently lying in a crib, dressed in a soft beige dress adorned with delicate blue smocking. The tones matched her ribbon perfectly, and with her eyes peacefully closed, she looked like a little Sleeping Beauty : serene, timeless, and utterly enchanting.
This dress belonged to one of our very first collections, created especially for our beloved Japanese partner, the brand San Sakae Petit. It marked the beginning of a journey that would grow far beyond a simple collaboration, evolving into a heartfelt connection between our team and Riz’s family.
A friendship beyond borders
From that first moment, a friendship blossomed across the globe. Over the years, we had many opportunities to dress Princess Riz and, just as importantly, to come to know her family. Through our frequent exchanges, we discovered the beauty of the Japanese way of life : a culture rich in attention to detail, appreciation of seasons, and a deep sense of harmony.
This cultural dialogue has been a constant source of inspiration for us. It reminded us that elegance and childhood poetry are universal, yet always expressed in subtly different ways. Seeing our dresses interpreted through this lens has been both enriching and deeply moving.

A soft pastel pink classic dress became the centrepiece of a romantic tea party photo session, beautifully captured by @contedefees.photo. The atmosphere was delicate and refined, with a sense of quiet elegance that perfectly echoed the spirit of the dress.
For her second birthday, a dream took shape in the form of a Rapunzel-inspired gown. Imagined in soft shades of purple, the dress was initially created especially for her yet it brought joy not only to Riz, but also to young princess enthusiasts around the world. What began as a simple sketch soon became a collaborative creative journey. Despite the language barrier, we worked closely together to bring this vision to life, making it both a rewarding challenge and a meaningful experience.
Winter celebrations have also been a cherished part of this story. Whether dressed in a red gingham design adorned with heart details or wrapped in the softness of velvet, Princess Riz has shared with us the magic of Christmas traditions. These moments, filled with warmth and festivity, reflect the joy of childhood celebrations that transcend cultures.
In springtime, Princess Riz took part in our French tea party photo contest. Set in a blooming meadow, she posed gracefully with a basket, wearing a pastel dress with a vintage boudoir-inspired print. The scene felt almost like a painting : soft colours, gentle light, and a sense of poetic stillness that perfectly captured the essence of the moment.
Beyond these carefully styled occasions, it is often the spontaneous moments that remain the most memorable. Watching her twirl freely or pretend to play the piano while dressed in a satin pink and lace design felt like pure magic. These fleeting scenes of playfulness remind us why we create : for movement, imagination, and the simple joy of being a child.
Perhaps the most special chapter of this story was the day we finally met in person. During the family's first visit to Paris, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming Princess Riz and her family at the store. After years of exchanges from afar, meeting face to face was a truly emotional and joyful moment.
In a gesture as thoughtful as it was delightful, they brought with them Hello Kitty stickers to share with each little princess visiting the boutique. It was a small yet meaningful act, reflecting the kindness and generosity that have always been at the heart of our relationship.
