THE PLOT
Burlington and his friend Marmaduke are invited to Buckingham Palace to watch Changing of the Guards by Hamish, a penguin in the Scots Guards. Unfortunately Burlington and Marmaduke soon get distracted by a corgi called Duchess who takes them on a tour of the Palace. Burlington’s morning turns into a real adventure when Duchess introduces her new friends to The Queen who invites the pair for a cup of Earl Grey tea and carrot cake. In the excitement Burlington and Marmaduke have forgotten all about Hamish who is frantically looking for them. Happily they are soon reunited and make their way to St. James’s Palace where Hamish has invited Burlington and his friends to lunch to end the perfect day…

THE AUTHOR
Burlington comes to life through the pen of Madeleine Hall. Hand illustrated by the author, and with a delightfully arch sense of humour the series charts the somewhat haphazard – and even a little bumbling – exploits of the quintessential British bear from Mayfair to the City to the Scottish Highlands and back to meet The Queen. Suitable from ages four to adulthood, the books are written to pique the curiosity of the explorative young reader and open up a highly individual world of words.
Madeleine started her career at Buckingham Palace working for the Equerry to The Queen where she worked for a number of years before moving to the auction house, Sotheby’s in Bond Street. She worked for the Head of Old Master Paintings for eight years where she swapped military engagements for the artistry of Canaletto to Raphael!

Shipping transit time & fee
Shipping in France is 15€ to 19€ and takes 3 to 6 days depending on the destination.
Shipping to Europe is 18€ for one product and 25€ for 3 and above. It takes on average 5 to 10 days.
Shipping to the rest of the world including to the USA takes on average 10 days. The shipping fee is 18€ for one product, 25€ for two. Shipping for three or more products is 30€.
Above 4 items, shipping may increase depending on the items.
Some products such as the books or BimBom bunnies have specific shipping rates. These are detailed at the checkout or under the product description.
As soon the order is placed, the items are shipped within the day or at the latest on the next working day.
We follow up the tracking closely until delivery of the items.

Express shipping
If you wish us to ship through an express carrier (DHL or Chronopost) at your cost, we are happy to do so. Please send us an email at info@charlottesydimby.com explaining your needs. We will then create a special payment link for you.
The expense is paid by the client and Charlotte sy Dimby will not reimburse the sum shall you wish to send back the products.

Order tracking
As soon as the package is on its way, you will receive a tracking link and number by email. Caring for each parcel as if it were our very own, we always keep a close eye on the status of each shipping until it is safe in your arms.

Order delivery
Our parcels our shipped through the carrier Laposte/Collisimo.
For international orders, certain countries may apply customs duty on imports. These are not taken in charge by our company but up to the customer to pay.

Anomaly
Upon receipt of the goods, please verify the correctness of products.
In case of any anomaly concerning the delivery such as: damaged packaging, missing products, damaged products, products not complying with the order, complaints may be addressed within a delay of 2 week after reception of the products. Notifications must be addressed to info@charlottesydimby.com
Where defects have been confirmed, you may ask for:
a. A replacement of the Product(s) at the expense of L’île aux Fées
or
b. A reimbursement of the order price (price of products and delivery charges), no later than within thirty days from the mailing date of notification confirmation of error by the customer service.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE
Your satisfaction is our utmost priority. Whilst we hope your purchase will meet your expectations, we are happy to offer a refund if ever you are not entirely satisfied with your products.
Return procedures
Products may be returned without any penalty and without specifying the reason, within fourteen days after the date of the receipt of the products purchased on our e-shop.
We merely ask you to send an email to info@charlottesydimby.com mentioning the name and sizes of the products to be returned.
The shipping fees and potential custom duties to send the products back are at your expense. The risks and costs are your responsibility.
The products must be returned to our Parisian boutique L’île aux Fées within a period of fourteen days following the date of receipt of the products to the address.

After the products have been returned, L’île aux Fées shall check the conformity of the products. The product(s) must not have been worn, used, altered, washed or damaged.
When L’île aux Fées is able to confirm that such conditions have been met, the client shall receive the relevant confirmation of acceptance of the returned products by email.
The customer shall obtain a refund for the sums already paid to purchase the returned products excluding shipping fees. The shipping fees paid at the confirmation of the initial order will not be reimbursed.
The sum will be refunded to as soon as possible, and in any case within 14 fourteen working days following the date on which to L’île aux Fées has received the return goods.
If the recipient of the products is different from the individual who made the payment for such products, the sums shall in all case be refunded to the individual who made the payment.
